When you get your first ten-minute spot, do you build one ten or join two fives?

I’m getting close to having enough material for a ten, but I can’t decide whether the useful next step is making one set that actually has a shape, or just putting two reliable shorter chunks next to each other and learning what happens. Joining two fives feels safer, but I’m worried I’ll end up with a very obvious reset in the middle. Did you start thinking about transitions and an overall arc as soon as spots got longer, or only once the individual bits were solid enough to survive without constant editing?
